Peugeot 208

Summary

The Peugeot e-208 is a supermini that has five doors and five seats, with a 50kWh lithium-ion battery, a 100 kW electric motor, and an electric driving range of up to 225 miles. The e-208 is front-wheel drive with a low centre of gravity and it weighs 1,455 kg, which is lighter than most EVs.

The Peugeot e-208 is based on the same platform as the Vauxhall Corsa-e. Aprt from the exterior styling, one area that sets the Peugeot apart is its interior, which features the ‘i-Cockpit’. There’s a very small steering wheel, which you look over, and not through, to see the 3D instrument display; information that’s more important appears closer to you than the other information in the display.

There are three drive modes: Normal, Eco and Sport. You can also increase brake regeneration by choosing ‘B’ rather than ‘D’ on the gear selector.

The e-208 has a maximum rapid charging rate of 100kW, when a 15-80% charge should take 30 minutes. Using a 7 kW home charger, a 0-100% charge should take 7 hours 30 minutes.

Although there’s just one battery size, there are three trim levels.
