Mercedes EQB

The Mercedes-Benz EQB is the only all-electric seven-seater car that you can currently buy in the UK (although there are some van-based seven seaters), and it comes in an SUV body style with all-wheel drive.

The two seats in the third row can be used by people up to five feet four inches tall, and child seats can also be fitted. The seats in the second row slide forwards and backwards to aid entry/exit to the third row of seats. With the third row of seats folded there’s 495 litres of boot capacity, or 1,710 litres with the second row of seats also folded.

You can choose between the EQB 300 and EQB 350. Both models have a 66.5 kWh battery offering a 250 – 257 mile range, and two electric motors giving all-wheel drive (‘4MATIC’). The EQB 300 produces 228 hp of power compared to the 292 hp of the EQB 350.

The EQB can be rapid charged at up to 100kW, when a 10-80% charge should take 32 minutes. A 7.4kW home wall box should give a 10-100% charge in 9 hours 15 minutes. It can also be charged at 11 kW at a workplace, when a 10-100% charge should take 5 hours 45 minutes.
