Ford Mustang Mach-e

Summary

Despite the name, the Ford Mustang Mach-E isn’t a sports car, but an all-electric SUV.

The Select model has a 75 kWh battery, rear-wheel drive, and a driving range of 273 miles.

There’s a Premium model with a 96 kWh battery, all-wheel drive, and a driving range of 341 miles, or a rear-wheel drive with a driving range of up to 372 miles.

And the GT model has a 98 kWh battery, all-wheel drive, and a driving range of 304 miles – along with a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds.

The Mustang Mach-E Standard Range can charge at rates of up to 115kW. A 10-80% charge takes 38 minutes at a 100kW rapid charger; a 10 minute charge can give 73 miles of range. The Extended Range Mach-E has a faster DC rapid charging rate of up to 150 kW.

There’s a big boot of 502 litres, which increases to 1,420 litres with the rear seats folded.

There are no traditional door handles on the Mach-E; instead you press a small button and the door pops open. As well as being able to unlock the car with a key, you can do this using a keypad on the driver’s door frame, or you can use your phone.
